The Department of Neurology is managed by University Hospital, which is a part of Upstate Medical University. The department serves the educational needs of medical students and residents in New York. It is engaged in basic, clinical and translational research in neuroscience to develop new treatment options. The Department of Neurology offers treatment for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, pediatric neuromuscular disease, epilepsy, headache and movement disorders. The department also provides general evaluation, consulting and treatment services for patients with neurological disorders.
