Established in 1993, Desert Gardens Community provides temporary accommodation to the Luke AFB, Ariz. and the surrounding area. It serves as a short-term stay for families, singles, college students, military men and women, including veterans and travelers from all over the world. The public housing community offers short-term, monthly and weekly rental options to meet the needs of the guests. Desert Gardens Community features an on-site cafe, a clubhouse and a playground. It provides a variety of studios, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartment units with amenities, such as telephone, cable, Internet system, public mini storage and hot tub, among others. The outdoor activities include swimming, tennis, volleyball, basketball, racquetball and horseshoes.
