Established in 1868, Detroit Yacht Club is located in a Mediterranean-style villa. It has a clubhouse and sailing shed. The club organizes a variety of programs, such as junior sailing, Flying Scots and Rendezvous, and its junior and adults tennis division organizes tournaments and instruction classes. It also has swim team that organizes swimming competitions and lessons for children. The club also organizes other programs that include the Nauties and Voyageurs. Its Rod and Gun club sponsors various events, including skeet shooting, fishing tournaments and wild game dinners. It offers informal classes on technical topics using the Internet, including boat electronics and making music and photo CDs. Detroit Yacht Club s Business and Professional Networking Group holds monthly luncheons to promote business contacts within the club. The club is located in Detroit.
