Donald F. Dickerson Associates, Inc. (DFDA) has been active in the Engineering, Construction and Building Codes since 1944. The Firm is a member of the National and California Professional Engineer Societies, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, The National Fire Protection Association and the American National Standards Institute. Mr. Donald F. Dickerson was the founder and first President of The American Society of Plumbing Engineers.
The foundation and building blocks of DFDA include a thorough understanding and accurate interpretation of the National and Local Codes. DFDA promotes active involvement in all of the above organizations, attendance of continuing educational programs and participation in professional seminars.
We at DFDA are constantly providing design documents for the purpose of construction, which mandates our knowledge for all applicable codes be current.
Most of our design tasks include construction services which require DFDA personnel to follow the project through the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy.
DFDA has extensive knowledge in Plumbing, Fire Life Safety, Mechanical and Electrical systems.
DFDA's Project Management Approach is based on the project Task Force assignment where specific key personnel are assigned as a job leaders for each discipline.
