Dining out is an adventure that we all embark on at least once a week. Did you know that there are over 1,929 in Washington, DC, with estimated sales for 2011 of $2.5 billion? I feel that dining out should be fun and entertaining, but bad dining experiences have affected us all, but they don’t have to. The disconnect between what we seek while eating out and what we receive has become wider as more restaurants open. Many new restaurants are hiring inadequate waiter/servers which cause the “show” to suffer. Conversely the same can be said about the ridiculous expectations and actions of some patrons can further the gap between exceptional and mundane. I plan through this website to eliminate barriers with dining etiquette tips, educate consumers and provide a release to servers/waiters about their work experiences.
