I am an experienced, compassionate, thorough, and refreshingly straightforward psychologist who believes that all people are special and unique and deserved to be treated with respect and sensitivity. Yet, I am also quite capable of honest communication that addresses the immediate situation on hand. In fact, I have frequently been characterized as "down to earth."
I specialize in conducting psychological evaluations for diagnostic clarification, therapy concerns, and court-related cases among others. As I am a credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselor as well, I am quite familiar with the disease of addictions, and how this disease impacts upon family members.
I speak Spanish, and have had more than fifteen years experience working within the foster care system with child abuse cases, delinquency cases, substance-abusing individuals and children and adults with a myriad of mental health concerns. I am the author of a novel "Divine Appointments," wherein the main character is a substance abuser.
