The history of Bakers Square can be traced back to 1970, when it was founded as Mrs. C s in Des Moines, Iowa. The restaurant operated as Mrs. C s and Poppin Fresh Pies until 1983, when VICORP Restaurants purchased Poppin Fresh Pies and founded Bakers Square. The company currently operates more than 140 restaurants throughout the United States. Its menu includes a selection of breakfast items, soups, salads, appetizers, entrees and burgers. Its range of special sandwiches includes fajita pita, chicken caesar pita and chicken florentine parmanini. The restaurant offers pasta, pizzas, beverages and desserts for children.
