Established in 1963, East Cobb Middle School is a public school serving students in grades six to eight. The school offers academic programs in various subjects, such as English for speakers of other languages, language arts, science, math, music, social studies and health education. Its science curriculum includes various disciplines, including physical science, and life and Earth science. The school additionally offers accelerated reader, special and physical education programs. It also has a media center offering a large collection of books and journals, an electronic database and Internet access. The school also offers guidance and counseling services, and a wide range of extracurricular activities.
