Eastern Treasures, LLC, is an approximately 2500 square ft. store located at 620 Ohio Ave, Wichita Falls, Texas. It has been in business since 2004. Eastern Treasures carries a selection of unique treasures from the Far East including antique furniture, decorative accessories, gift items and Jewelry. Most items are considered Chinese country antiques since they come from homes throughout the countryside. Many small pieces used here in the U.S. as decorative accessories were once everyday household items. Marcia Bernhardt travels to China and personally selects each item. Most of the inventory dates to the Qing Dynasty which ended in 1911. Marcia has eighteen years of retail buying experience in the clothing market. Add to that over ten years of traveling and spending a great deal of time in mainland China, soaking in China's rich history and culture. During this time, Marcia made many friends and developed contacts that would eventually lead her into opening Eastern Treasures I get to combine my love for this fascinating country with the thrill of the hunt. Never knowing exactly what I'll find, keeps my eyes peeled for those unusual things as well as the expected. I work from a specific list of items but reserve a portion of my budget for the surprise finds. The thrill continues when my purchases arrive and seeing the joy on my customers faces when they make their own discoveries.
