El Pueblo Boys & Girls Ranch was founded in 1960 as the Pueblo Youth Center. It is a private, nonprofit adolescent treatment community serving the needs of youth who are victims of abuse and neglect. It also offers a wide range of residential treatment services to both boys and girls between 10 and 18 years. The ranch offers various programs that include substance education and addiction recovery, offense specific treatment of aggressive youth, reflection cottages, transition and El Pueblo School and general equivalency diploma programs. Its change and Spirit program serves children suffering from behavioral and mental health problems. Located in Pueblo, Colo., the ranch is licensed by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the Colorado Department of Human Services, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division.
