Community Consolidated School District 59 provides academic programs to more than 6,000 students through three junior high schools and 10 elementary schools from prekindergarten through grade eight. The district s schools have a library and media center offering a wide range of books, encyclopedias, magazines and Web site resources that provide additional information to students. The schools provide various athletic activities in football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, softball, cross country, wrestling, cheerleading, and track and field. The district s schools offer educational classes in English, math, science, social studies, language arts, reading, writing, foreign language, special education, fine arts, and health and physical education. The schools have various clubs and organizations that include National Honor Society, band, chorus, dance, student council, yearbook and natural helpers.
