Founded in 1916, The Ellis School is a college-preparatory, educational institution that serves young women in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school s curriculum includes English, History, math, science, computer science, physical education, and performing and visual arts. It also offers instruction in world languages, including Spanish, Latin, French, Chinese and Russian. The Ellis School provides opportunities for participation in sports, such as basketball, field hockey, swimming, soccer, tennis and cross-country. The school s alumnae council sponsors traveling programs for alumnae, parents, students and friends. The Ellis School offers college counseling services to students. In addition, it organizes a summer day camp that includes a selection of indoor and outdoor activities, including dance, music, yoga, roller skating and rock wall climbing.
