Emergency Physicians of Tidewater, also known as EPT, is an association of health care professionals who provide emergency care. It is a democratic partnership, practicing emergency medicine in a multihospital environment, serving the communities in coastal Virginia for more than 30 years. The association provides a wide range of emergency services to individuals, hospitals and health care organizations. EPT operates an Academic Department of Emergency Medicine with a fully approved, three-year residency in emergency medicine. Emergency Physicians of Tidewater is located in Virginia Beach with additional locations in Norfolk and Suffolk, Va. Its Web site offers bill settlement forms, health links and patient survey brochures. It was founded in 1967.
