The Emory Eye Center is one of the largest eye care facilities in Georgia. Operational for more than 125 years, the center provides general eye examination services and treatment for complex vision disorders. Its specialists offer treatment for cataract, glaucoma, and retinal and corneal disorders. The center specializes in the treatment of tumors, including melanoma and neurologic eye disorders. Additionally, the Emory Eye Center provides macular degeneration treatment. It has optical shops that include a range of glasses, contact lenses, sunglasses and vision-assisting devices, such as magnifiers and telescopic lenses. The center s staff includes ophthalmologists and optometry doctors. Located in Atlanta, the Emory Eye Center is a part of The Emory Clinic, which conducts vascular, ambulatory, refractive, cardiothoracic, plastic, oral and general surgeries.
