The Employment Opportunity & Training Center is a private nonprofit organization that provides several parenting education, as well as family and work force support services to more than 2,000 residents throughout Lackawanna County in Pennsylvania. Established in 1988, it maintains a workforce development division that assists unemployed, under-employed and displaced workers of all backgrounds. The center also offers various programs that include individual conferences, support groups, educational classes and visitation for families with children below the age of 5. In addition, it provides youth programs that are designed to promote social and life skills. The Employment Opportunity & Training Center is certified by the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations. The center is located in Scranton, Pa.
