Established in 1967, Estacado High School serves more than 850 students in grades 9 through 12. Its educational programs include instruction in science, language arts, mathematics and social studies. The school also offers foreign language, physical education and career and technical education classes. Estacado High School provides advanced placement courses in the areas of medicine, law, architecture and engineering. Its athletic activities include football, volleyball, baseball, softball, basketball, swimming, tennis, wrestling, cheerleading and cross-country. The school administers a student council and offers opportunities for student to participate in academic decathlon competitions and the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps programs. It is governed by the Lubbock Independent School District.
