Based in Anchorage, Alaska, the North Star Behavioral Health System Hospital Inpatient Program engages in mental health services. A part of the Project Alaska, it provides services, including substance abuse treatment and detoxification. The program offers outpatient care, partial hospitalization, day treatment and hospital inpatient care. The North Star Behavioral Health System Hospital Inpatient Program offers special treatment programs for groups, such as adolescents, HIV/AIDS patients, gays and lesbians, senior citizens, pregnant/postpartum women, women's/men's groups, driving under the influence (DUI)/driving while intoxicated (DWI) offenders and criminal justice groups. It also provides payment and insurance support for patients.
