The Exceptional Family Resource Center, also known as EFRC, is a community-based agency that provides a range of information, education and support services for the families of individuals with disabilities. Founded in 1990, it offers services through its staff of parents and professionals. The agency provides family support, library, information, referral, and parent training and education services for families. The Exceptional Family Resource Center s services for professionals include technical assistance on family-related issues, disability information, training and presentations. It also offers advocacy, health care and child development services. Additionally, the agency has various support groups related to arthritis, autism, brain injury, cancer, cerebral palsy, diabetes and epilepsy. The Exceptional Family Resource Center is located in San Diego.
