Family Focus-Our Place provides a range of family support programs for parents, children, and teenagers. It provides various parenting education, child development, after-school, mentoring, advocacy, and information and referrals services through nearly seven centers throughout Chicago. The organization maintains the Midwest Learning Center, which provides customized training and staff development, funding opportunities and family support assistance for agencies and communities. Founded in 1976, Family Focus administers the Hug-a-Book initiative that promotes literacy and includes consulting services and teacher and parent workshops.
