My name is Julie Faurot and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist(MFT)who offers individual and couples counseling in the Los Angeles area. My offices are conveniently located near the 101 and 405 freeways in Sherman Oaks. My focus is to bring insight, empathy and understading to your internal world. Combinded with coaching skills and current research in neurobiology and attachment theory, I help people recognize pitfalls in communication, how to empathetically listen to yourself and others, and how to protect against the negative strategies of criticism, withdrawal, defensiveness, and anger. Together we will look at what coping skills are effective, and which ones hinder your growth and happiness. We will identify the obstacles that inhibit the need for connection and intimacy in your life. With awareness there is room for change.
