The Federal Aviation Administration provides maintenance services for air navigation and traffic control systems and voice and data communications equipment, as well as radar facilities. It prepares data on matters related to aviation forecasts and accidents. The agency also operates the FAA Academy that offers technical and managerial training and development for workforce and the aviation industry. The Federal Aviation Administration certifies airmen, airlines, aircrafts and airports. In addition, its subsidiaries include the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center and the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center.
