Founded in 1966, The Federation of American Hospitals is the national representative of investor-owned or managed community hospitals and health systems throughout the United States. Based in Washington, D.C., it is one of the most respected and influential health policy and advocacy organizations in the state. Some of its committees are Health Insurance Reform Task Force; Audit, Ethics, Compliance and Administrative Affairs Committee; Legal & Operational Policy Committee and Preparedness Task Force, to name a few. Its publications include Hospital Outlook, Directory of Investor-Owned Hospitals as well as guest columns.
