Ferguson Valves & Automation traces its roots to Familian Northwest, established in 1969. In the late 1970 s, some industrious sales associates, responding to a demand from the pulp and paper industry, developed the first all-cast stainless steel knife gate valve in the country. From this product, the FNW Valve brand was born and Ferguson Valves & Automation was established in 1979. By 1981, the company acquired a valve actuation, modification, fabrication and repair facility. This acquisition exemplifies its ideology to do what other vendors will not, by maintaining a facility geared toward customer s custom requirements. In 2004, the company added the capabilities of a valve automation center in Tucker, Ga. This facility expands Ferguson Valves & Automation's custom capabilities and extends its presence and responsiveness across the nation. The company also maintains a facility in Portland, Ore.
