A. J. Ferrell Middle School provides learning opportunities for students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes classes in a variety of subjects, such as marketing, language arts, science, math, social studies, geography, history, and computer and business applications, as well as Spanish. A. J. Ferrell Middle School also administers gifted and talented and bilingual education programs. It is a recipient of the 2008 Schools of Excellence Award from Magnet Schools of America. The school provides a range of counseling services for its students through a guidance counselor. It maintains a media center that offers books, reference materials and online databases. A. J.
