First United Methodist Church provides spiritual and emotional guidance and Christian teaching in Orlando, Fla. The church s vision is to become a strategic training center for the gospel of Jesus Christ by making disciples committed to God, family and church who care for people in and beyond their community. It offers opportunities for community outreach service, innovative children's and youth ministries, programs for spiritual growth and in-depth Bible study, inspiring worship and music ministries. Its Wesley Child Development Center provides both childcare and age-appropriate early childhood education experiences, preparing children to enter kindergarten. Its youth ministries program, Skylight, provides a means for teens to develop their faith in God through Sunday morning Bible lessons, Sunday night youth fellowship and Wednesday evening leadership opportunities.
