Founded in 1866, Fisk University is an African American institution for higher education. It provides under graduate and graduate courses in humanities and fine arts, natural sciences and mathematics, and social sciences. The college provides bachelor s degrees in dramatics and speech, English, history, mathematics, music, political science, sociology and Spanish. It also provides bachelor s degrees in business administration, computer science and special education. Additionally, it provides master s degrees in chemistry, physics, and general and clinical psychology. The university also offers nursing, international education and preprofessional programs.
