Gongco Foods, which operates seven Food 4 Less stores throughout the Valley, began in 1938 when the Gong family opened the Fairway Market in downtown Visalia. In 2007, the Fairway Market was converted to a Food 4 Less. Today, Gongco Foods remains headquartered at the Visalia location, and operates Food 4 Less stores in Porterville, Selma, Fresno, Madera, Atwater and Merced.
