FoundationMED was founded by Michael Citron, MD - a board certified Emergency Physician. After a personal illness was not resolved with traditional medicine, Dr. Citron learned about how powerful a functional medicine approach to treating illness can be. After obtaining a great deal of secondary education about functional medicine (both from A4M and IFM and others), FoundationMED (a consultative medical practice) was created to provide a functional medicine approach for patients.
Because of his training, Dr. Citron is able to merge both traditional medicine with functional medicine - to provide a unique form of medical care.
Our business model is based on providing affordable care with advanced functional medicine techniques. We never require pre-paid treatment plans or concierge type fees. We do not upcharge for laboratory testing. We want to be able to help as many patients as possible
