Media Academy High School, a part of Oakland Unified School District, offers educational and college preparatory programs to students in grades nine through 12. It offers special courses to students in newspaper, magazine, radio and television journalism. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, mathematics, science, American history, economics, and health and physical education. It provides a variety of extracurricular activities to students, including photography, visual and performing arts, yearbook and multicultural studies. Media Academy High School is located in Oakland, Calif., and has an enrollment of more than 400 students.
