The Friends of Horses Rescue & Adoption, also known as FOHRAA, is a nonprofit corporation in the metropolitan Denver area. It offers horse rescue, adoption and education services. The corporation provides programs that focus on breeding practices. The Friends of Horses Rescue & Adoption works in collaboration with the Colorado Bureau of Land Management and Colorado State University. The corporation serves more than 100 abused and neglected horses. It also places foals and retired thoroughbred racers in adoption homes.
