Community Connections, a part of Gateway, is a prevention program that offers several programs, such as breaking the cycle of violence, reach out to children, families and schools together, building self esteem in students and teens and parenting support groups. Its families and schools together program encourages and enhances parental involvement in education through special events, parent support groups and parent skills education classes. Community Connections parenting support group s sessions are ideal for groups, including grandparents parenting their grandchildren, single parents, and parents of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in schools, community centers and churches.
