Founded in 1958, GeoResources is an independent company that is engaged in the acquisition and development of oil and gas reserves through a program that includes the purchase of reserves and re-engineering and exploration activities. The company produces more than 3,200 barrels of oil daily. Its coverage areas include the Southwest, Gulf Coast and Williston Basin. GeoResources also owns interests in properties in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Alabama. The company controls over 208,000 acres of land.
