George Fowler High School, located in Syracuse, N.Y., is part of the Syracuse City School District. Founded in 1908, it offers a college preparatory curriculum to more than 1,200 students in grades nine through 12. The curriculum provides learning experiences in language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, health, physical education, art, computer instruction, business, design technology and career and educational planning. The school focuses its priorities and resources on expanding opportunities in science and math reasoning, complex, critical-thinking, technology and effective communication skills. George Fowler High School students participate in extracurricular opportunities in athletics, music, art, clubs, service organizations and various sports, including basketball, football and volleyball.
