Georgetown Elementary School offers academic classes to more than 650 students in prekindergarten through grade two. Located in Savannah, Ga., the school offers academic programs in reading, mathematics, spelling, language, social studies, science, art, writing and speech. Georgetown Elementary School also offers special activities and programs, such as English Language Learners, early intervention programs, Wednesday school, student council activities, Odyssey of the Mind, character education and media festivals. The school has a team of paraprofessionals and offers accelerated reader programs. Georgetown Elementary School offers special education for students with autism, specific learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders and speech impairments. Georgetown Elementary School, established in 1994, is a part of the Savannah-Chatham Public School System.
