The Georgia Department of Community Health, also known as DCH, was created in 1999. The department is administered by the government of Georgia. It offers a range of health care consumerism and work force development solutions. The Georgia Department of Community Health maintains operations, health care facility regulation, and emergency preparedness and response divisions. The department s general counsel division provides guidance and direction solutions for various operations, as well as drafts and reviews procurement documents. In addition, the division provides legal services and develops policies and procedures for compliance with the federal and state privacy and public requirements. The Georgia Department of Community Health administers the PeachCare for Kids Program for infants and toddlers.
