Based in Atlanta, Ga., Georgia Electronic Design Center (GEDC) is one of the leading centers of innovation for Georgia's mixed-signal communications research effort. The center provides students and faculty at the state's major research universities with support from both the public and the private sectors. It supports research, active and solution-oriented industry collaboration, intellectual property generation and revenue generating commercialization efforts. The center has partnership with a number of firms, including Adtran, ADVA, Agilent, Sun Microsystems, Texas Instruments and VeriSign, among others.
