Founded in 1901, Glendale High School is a part of the Glendale Unified School District. It provides education in grades nine through 12 in various subjects, such as science, English, math, computers, history and Spanish. In addition, it offers a variety of educational programs in health, stage arts, physical education, cosmetology, music and technology. The school provides a variety of sports and club activities. Its sport activities include soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, tennis, swimming and waterpolo. It was presented the Creative Ticket National School of Distinction award by the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education. In addition, it was also given by the BRAVO award for visual and performing arts programs by the Los Angeles County Performing Arts Center. Its offers various clubs, such as art, chess ceramics, American, church, Christian, cultural and debate clubs. It additionally offers a library and tutoring facilities for students. The school also provides information about various colleges and financial aid.
