Golden Corral Buffet & Grill, located in Glen Burnie, Md., is one of more than 450 Golden Corral restaurants located throughout the United States. The franchised, family-style restaurant offers customers a variety of buffet items, including salads, baked potatoes, coleslaw, potato salad, steak, chicken, fish, pizza, vegetable choices, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, pasta dishes, muffins, ice cream, pies, cookies and cake. The first Golden Corral restaurant opened in Fayetteville, N.C., in 1973. The restaurant chain has been named the No. 1 family steakhouse franchise for 10 straight years by Entrepreneur magazine. In 2005, Golden Corral was named No. 1 in system wide sales in the grill-buffet segment for the eighth straight year by Nation s Restaurant News.
