The Golden Gate Community Center is a social service and welfare agency. It provides a variety of programs and services for children, youths, adults and senior citizens. The center serves more than 6,000 people annually in the southern and west central areas of Phoenix. The Golden Gate Community Center offers education, fitness and recreational, child care, and health and immunization services. Its education programs include a reading club and citizenship and computer classes, as well as Head Start and English as a Second Language programs. The center operates the KARE Intergenerational Center, which provides information, referral and case management services for grandparents, relatives, kin foster care providers and adoptive families. Operational for more than 70 years, the Golden Gate Community Center maintains an over 22,000-square-foot facility. It is a member of the Arizona s Children Association Family of Agencies. The center is located in Phoenix.
