GSH is a 560-bed facility employing 550 physicians in more than 35 primary, medical, and surgical specialties. In addition, the hospital is proud to have a large number of advanced practice nurses, including clinical nurse specialists, midwives, nurse anesthetists and nurse practitioners in obstetrics and trauma. The hospital's Family Birthing Center provides many options to offer a personal, unique birthing experience for each patient.

Good Samaritan Hospital acquired the assets of Dayton Heart Hospital in May 2008, creating Dayton Heart & Vascular Hospital, Owned and Operated by Good Samaritan Hospital.
