Great Neck Preschool and Kindergarten is committed to the social and educational enrichment of Children ages Two to Kindergarten. We are open during the normal school year and have holidays according to the Virginia Beach Local Schools Calendar. We welcome children pre-potty training and are happy to schedule a tour of our school by appointment.

Great Neck Preschool and Kindergarten serves as a Preschool, Kindergarten and After School Center for children ages infant to Kindergarten. We also have a before school option for your convenience. Our school has been a part of the local community for over 17 years and our curriculum will allow your child will grow within a supportive and caring community of teachers, aides and other parents. Included in the curriculum are age appropriate specials. These are implemented keeping in mind the strengths and needs of the children in each classroom. Great Neck emphasizes the development of social skills and a positive self concept. Teachers model social skills and help children in an age appropriate manner. As the younger children separate from parents and become part of the class community then as these children grow and mature they become part of the larger school community. Children move through the stages of play, from solitary to parallel to cooperative. Children develop confidence in themselves and their relationships. This growth and development happens over time because of the caring, nurturing, positive environment at Great Neck Preschool and Kindergarten for both the child and the family.
