The Greene County Commission is the executive body of Greene County in Missouri. The commission supervises the activities of county departments and fixes salaries, as well as adopts annual budgets. It conducts hearings on planning and zoning matters. The Greene County Commission also enacts ordinances, resolutions and policies. The commission hears the cases of appeals and complaints arising from real property assessments. It promotes industrial, commercial, agricultural and manufacturing developments. In addition, the commission serves developmentally disabled citizens through public and private agencies. The Greene County Commission administers the allocation and distribution of funds in accordance with state law to provide shelter for the victims of domestic violence.
