Founded in 1974, Gridley Middle School is a public, coeducational school that enrolls more than 700 students in grades six through eight. It offers a variety of educational opportunities for the physical, emotional and mental development of students. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as language arts, social science, math, history and physical education. It also offers substance abuse prevention and homework help programs. The school has a parent-teacher-student association that involves parents, staff members and students in several events, such as Box Tops for Education, pancake breakfast, spirit sales and staff appreciation luncheons. It offers a range of sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, and track and field.
