Founded in 1979, Harvest Home offers a range of emergency shelter assistance for women and children in crisis situations. It can accommodate up to 50 women and children. The organization gets referrals from various churches, agencies, hospitals and court systems. It provides drug and alcohol screening, child care, case management and individual counseling services. Harvest Home offers after-school programs for the school-age children, as well as organizes arts and crafts classes. It assists in the development of GED and computer literacy skills. The school provides group and individual therapy services. Harvest Home maintains a location in Akron, Ohio. It is owned and operated by the Haven of Rest Ministries.
