The Minnesota Department of Health, also known as MDH, offers treatment services to patients with cancer, diabetes, AIDS, arthritis and asthma. It administers community-based health promotion programs and educational activities. The department maintains public health laboratory and environmental health divisions. It also maintains an office of emergency preparedness, as well as conducts supplemental nutrition programs. The department has a compliance monitoring division, as well as provides birth and death registration services.
