Located in Buffalo, N.Y., Heritage Centers provides various opportunities for children and adults with disabilities by securing financial and other resources. It provides services to students and their families and conducts psychological, educational and therapeutic evaluations, as requested by school districts and municipal representatives. Its education program includes a certified special education teacher and at least one full time teacher assistant in each classroom. It additionally offers comprehensive vocational and habilitation services, and encourages individual growth and productivity by creating opportunities for adults with disabilities, transitioning students and their families. The center s residential habilitation services provide home support to individuals to promote maximum independence and encourage the individual to attain personal life goals. Its recreation services offer a variety of services to children and youth of ages 5 to 21 years developmental disabilities.
