Established in 1966, The Historic New Orleans Collection is a museum, research center and publisher that preserve history and culture of New Orleans and the Gulf South region. Located in New Orleans, La., it operates a museum, which includes the Williams gallery and the Louisiana history galleries. The center also publishes quarterly magazines, books, guides, journals and videos and organizes various programs, such as educational events, tour and annual events. It also stocks library items, photographs, prints, drawings, paintings, artifacts, documents and manuscripts.
