Holland Board of Public Works is a community-owned enterprise providing utility services, and is located in Holland, Mich. It provides electric generation and distribution, water and wastewater treatment to the city of Holland and selected areas. Its engineering department assists architects, engineers, developers, contractors and inspectors in the planning and installation of electric services to single residential, subdivisions, commercial and industrial developments. Its wastewater treatment plant receives wastewater from five townships and the city of Holland. Holland Board of Public Works wastewater department maintains the entire sanitary sewer collection system, including south of Lake Macatawa and the Black River. It additionally provides emergency services in life and property threatening emergency.
