Established in 1941, Homewood Public Library provides books and reference materials in a variety of formats. The library serves as a learning and educational center for students of various academic levels. It offers a collection of more than 88,000 books, as well as CDs, software and electronic games. It also houses a range of nonfiction DVDs and videos, including titles from Discovery Channel and National Geographic. In addition, the library has auditoriums and meeting rooms to host a range of events, such as board meetings, business conferences and social events. Its facility includes a technology center and training lab. Located in Homewood, Ala., Homewood Public Library is a member of Jefferson County Library Cooperative.
