Hoover Elementary School was established in 1966 and its facility includes a conference room, media center, gymnasium, cafeteria and small-group instructional spaces. In addition, the school features computer labs, more than 25 classrooms, and art and music rooms. It offers educational classes to over 800 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school has a staff of nearly 65 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals, including speech and child nutrition specialists, parent volunteer coordinators, custodians, interpreters, art and music teachers, and physical and special education professionals. It teaches a variety of subjects, such as computer technology, language arts, special education, foreign language, English, math, science and social studies. Hoover Elementary School is governed by the Anoka-Hennepin School District and is located in Coon Rapids, Minn.
